Summary of Project
The Gateway Motorway North between Nudgee and Deagon is a four-lane motorway providing a critical transport corridor for more than 83,000 vehicles each day. It also services the Brisbane Airport, Port of Brisbane and the Australia TradeCoast precinct. The project, jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments, will not only reduce this congestion but improve safety and increase the efficiency of the motorway network. The project comprises key features as follows: widening 11.3km of the motorway from four to six lanes; reconfiguring the Nudgee interchange including a new Nudgee Road overpass; widening the Deagon Deviation to provide two lanes in each direction; and Modification of Bicentennial Road interchange.
Summary of Involvement
Dreise Tucker ATOL Pty Ltd was engaged by Lendlease Engineering to provide geotechnical, civil, structural and pavement engineering consultancy services for the design of temporary works. The temporary works were designed to facilitate, amongst other elements, roads, bridges and drainage.
